Joe Capka

Joe Capka is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Software Engineer and Software Engineering Manager III at Google since December 2018, Joe has led engineering teams in Life Sciences, Collaboration, Data, and AI. Joe's previous roles include Vice President of Engineering at Sortable, Vice President of Software at FleetCarma, and Vice President of Technology at Igloo Software, where significant transformations in team culture and productivity were achieved. Joe's career began as a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo, culminating in a Master’s degree in Wireless Networks and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the same institution.
