John Sgammato

John Sgammato has extensive experience in technical writing and documentation architecture, with a career spanning several decades across diverse industries. Beginning as a Seaman with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1984 to 1987, John transitioned into technical writing roles, including positions at Waters Corporation and Imprivata, where John developed comprehensive documentation from the ground up. As a Principal Writer/Manager at Columbia Games, John led an international team to revitalize product lines. Involvement with the Society for Technical Communication includes serving as a Council Member and Webmaster for certification efforts. Currently, John is a Technical Writer at Google and has additional experience with Actifio, Genetic Microsystems/Affymetrix, and other notable companies. John holds a BS in Biology from Manhattan College, a Certificate in Technical Writing from Clark University, and an MS in Biotechnology from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
