Kaien Yang is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Stanford University. Yang has experience as a Research Intern at Google, focusing on scalable algorithms for lower precision arithmetic in TPUs, and as a Trading Intern at The D. E. Shaw Group, where a model to quantify equity index valuations was developed. Previous roles include a Quantitative Research Intern at GSA, building volatility forecasting models, and an Applied Mathematics Researcher at Stanford Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (SAIL), contributing to golf decision-making models and publishing research on permutation equivariant neural networks. Additional experience includes engineering computer vision algorithms at Skydio and conducting research on supercooled liquids during a stint at the Research Science Institute.
