Kuntal Sengupta

Kuntal Sengupta is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning. Currently serving as a Technical Lead and Manager at Google since January 2017, Kuntal has focused on training AI models for XR and developed multimodal GenAI and safety modeling techniques. Prior to this, Kuntal was a Lead Algorithm Architect at Apple from October 2014 to January 2017, specializing in biometrics and CVML-based annotation algorithms. Kuntal's career also includes significant roles at various companies in the Boston and Bay area, where expertise in computer vision and machine learning was demonstrated. Before entering the tech industry, Kuntal served as an Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. Kuntal holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
