Qiran Xiao is a highly skilled materials scientist with extensive experience in hardware reliability and advanced materials design. As a Ph.D. Researcher at Stanford University from September 2013 to April 2018, Qiran developed high-performance adhesive thin-films, significantly improving Cu/Epoxy interface adhesion and utilizing state-of-the-art Transmission Electron Microscopy for materials characterization. Qiran further advanced career as a Hardware Reliability Engineer at Apple from April 2018 to December 2023, contributing to notable projects such as the 1st Generation iPad Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil. Currently, Qiran serves as a Senior Hardware Reliability Engineer at Google, focusing on the development of a consumer electronics Reliability Playbook.
