Shashidhar Thakur

Shashidhar (Shashi) Thakur is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and management roles at leading companies. Currently serving as Vice President and General Manager for Advertising at Google, Shashi has previously held significant positions such as Vice President of Engineering for long-term bets and Vice President and General Manager for Consumer Shopping at Google. Prior to Google, Shashi worked at Synopsys Inc. as a Distinguished Engineer focused on verification tools, and held various engineering roles including Senior Staff Engineer in design tools and Senior Member of Technical Staff at Stratify Inc. Shashi's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
