Sung-Gun Cho

Silicon Engineer

Sung-Gun Cho is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in silicon development and design. Holding a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, Sung-Gun has previously worked at SK hynix, where the first ECC encoder/decoder IP and subsystems for UFS products were developed, as well as Intel, contributing to machine learning accelerator chiplet design and SoC design. Additional roles include a Graduate Student Research Assistant, where research spanned RTL design, algorithm co-design, and physical design, with a focus on high-performance computing accelerators. Prior to these positions, experience as an Assistant Engineer at INDILINX involved developing a RAID engine for SSD controllers. Currently, Sung-Gun serves as a Silicon Engineer at Google, furthering expertise in the field.
