Yawen Wei

Yawen Wei is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in technology and data management across notable organizations. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at Google since May 2020, Yawen Wei has successfully led teams in developing projects like the Data Marketplace platform and GoogleSQL integrations. Prior roles include Senior Director of Engineering at Pony.ai, where Yawen Wei focused on hiring for various technical positions related to autonomous driving and data. At Uber, from April 2017 to September 2018, Yawen Wei managed engineering teams to enhance the real-time dispatch software system. Yawen Wei also contributed significantly to LinkedIn as a Senior Engineering Manager, overseeing multiple ad-related projects and building the LinkedIn Audience Network. Yawen Wei’s academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Iowa State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering from Tsinghua University.
