Ying Lu

Ying Lu is an experienced data scientist currently leading the data science efforts at Google in the Play Core Analytics team, focusing on experimental design and data insights. Previous roles include Principal Engineer at The Walt Disney Company, where leadership was provided in machine learning for recommender systems and chatbots, and Decision Scientist at Microsoft, responsible for building risk models. At Amazon, Ying contributed to fraud prevention initiatives as a Research Scientist, and earlier experience includes working as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Minnesota and completing internships focused on statistical modeling and data analysis. Ying Lu holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Fudan University.
