Tjerk van Goor

Tjerk van Goor has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and cybersecurity. Tjerk has held various roles in different companies, starting with their current position as an Information Risk & Security Officer (IRSO) at APG since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Gooise Scholen Federatie and as a Cyber Security Consultant and Freelance Trainer at Reyk Consultancy.

In 2022, Tjerk was a Co-Founder of TANK Kollektiv, where they organized small-scale dance events and functioned as a booking agency. Tjerk also handled communications and PR through social media.

Earlier in their career, Tjerk held positions such as an Information Security Officer at Autoriteit Financiële Markten, a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Lievegoed, and a Business Information Security Officer (BISO) at Schiphol. Tjerk also worked as a Cyber Security Consultant at Legian and Fujitsu Nederland, where they served as a Security Liaison for various clients.

Before that, Tjerk worked as a Security Specialist at CGI Nederland, providing cybersecurity consulting services to clients in areas like risk management, privacy (GDPR), security management, blockchain security, crisis management, cryptography, and quantum computing. Tjerk van Goor completed their Bachelor's degree in International Relations & International Organization at the University of Groningen from 2010 to 2016. Tjerk then pursued a Master's degree in Crisis and Security Management at Leiden University, which they completed in 2017. During that same year, Tjerk attended the National Cyber Security Summer School in the Netherlands, earning a Certificate of Attendance in Cyber Security.

In 2015 to 2016, Tjerk studied at Pusan National University in South Korea, specializing in the Department of Global Studies. Additionally, Tjerk has obtained various certifications, including ISO27001 Certified Implementer from SECO-Institute in November 2022, CISSP from (ISC)² in February 2022, CRISC from ISACA in February 2022, Lean6Sigma: Green Belt from Legian in October 2019, CIPP-E from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in May 2018, CISM from ISACA in May 2018, SSCP from (ISC)² in February 2018, and Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in December 2017.
