Matthew Bolinger

Dr. Matt Bolinger serves as the assistant superintendent for human resources for GCCISD. His office provides leadership for human resources activities to ensure high quality and retention of district personnel as well as recommends and implements legally sound and effective human resource management programs, policies and practices.

Matt Bolinger also served as the executive director of strategic planning and innovation, overseeing the planning and execution of the district’s strategic plan, communications and marketing, property acquisition for the district, and community/stakeholder engagement. A Baytown native and graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, he received his bachelor of science degree from Dallas Baptist University and his master of science degree in cognitive science from the University of Texas, Dallas. His experience in education spans more than 20 years. He began his teaching career in McKinney, Texas, where he served as a teacher for 10 years and district coordinator for two years. He has spent the past 10 years back home in Goose Creek CISD.
