Amitava Sanyal has extensive experience in the health sector, particularly in project management and consultancy, with a focus on planning, implementation, and procurement for healthcare facilities. Currently serving as Team Leader for the IMCCR Project in Nepal at GOPA Worldwide Consultants since June 2016, Amitava has also held various roles such as Services Planning & Procurement Expert for emergency COVID hospitals in Iraq and Sr. Project Manager for health service infrastructure rehabilitation projects. Prior experience includes leading healthcare projects in multiple countries, managing tender preparations, undertaking feasibility studies, and providing technical support in hospital planning and budgeting. Amitava's career spans over two decades in healthcare management, with education from the University of Calcutta, where a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology was obtained.
