James Williams has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering. James started their career in 2003 as an Engineering Technician for the Town of Christiansburg, Virginia. From there, they joined Anderson & Associates, Inc. as an Engineering Intern, where they gained experience in producing graphical representations of land development projects and designing storm sewer systems.

In 2005, James became a Civil Engineer Project Manager at Balzer and Associates, Inc. James was highly sought after by commercial and residential clients for their expertise in managing complexities and developing innovative solutions to terrain, zoning, and aesthetics conflicts.

After their tenure at Balzer and Associates, Inc., James worked as a Civil Engineer at APD Engineering & Architecture. In this role, they served as a multi-state civil engineering consultant for national commercial clients, including Wal-Mart and ALDI. James was responsible for maintaining desired product standards and ensuring company-wide uniformity. James also engineered and managed projects from contract proposal through construction and project completion in a collaborative team environment.
