Ciera Ashley

Ciera focuses on total portfolio strategy including the foundation’s strategic asset allocation and rebalancing decisions. She also performs comprehensive research and analysis to inform hedging and other total portfolio investment decisions. Additionally, Ciera manages the investment team’s operations.

From 2013 to 2016 and 2007 to 2009, Ciera held investment roles at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, including the director of portfolio strategy and operations. She also spent two years at the University of California Regents focusing on private equity and real assets investments for the university’s pension plan. Previously, Ciera was with L.E.K. Consulting, where she executed strategic market studies for private equity and health care clients.

Ciera graduated magna cum laude from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in business administration and received an M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
