James Higgins

James Higgins is a prominent class action and asbestos lawyer, currently serving as the Managing Partner at Gordon Legal since November 2017. With extensive experience in managing legal services, James previously held the position of General Manager for Business and Specialised Litigation Services at Slater and Gordon Lawyers from February 2002 to June 2016, overseeing various legal practice areas including class actions and commercial litigation. Earlier in their career, James contributed to the legal and parliamentary landscape of Victoria as the Director of Legal and Parliamentary Affairs in the Office of the Premier from October 1999 to February 2002, and as an Adviser to the Leaders of the Opposition from October 1996 to October 1999. James holds a dual honors degree in Law and Arts, graduating from Monash University in 1998.
