Richard May

Richard May is an experienced engineering and project management professional with a focus on electrical and powertrain systems. Currently serving as an E/E Project Manager at Gordon Murray Technologies since December 2023, Richard's previous roles include Program Manager for Electrical & Powertrain at Volta Trucks and a series of managerial and engineering positions at McLaren Automotive Ltd, beginning as a Senior Project Engineer and culminating as Manager of Body Electronics & ADAS systems. Prior to McLaren, Richard held leadership roles at JLR in Powertrain Control Systems and On-Board Diagnostics, and began a career with Lucas Aerospace as an Automated Test Equipment Engineer after earning a BEng in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Leicester.
