Omar Gaya

Omar Gaya has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Omar started their career at Amgen as an Analyst in Competitive Intelligence from 2004 to 2005. Omar then joined Gilead Sciences as part of the Commercial Strategy team from 2005 to 2011. After that, they worked at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Corporate Strategy and Strategic Analysis from 2011 to 2019. Currently, they hold the position of VP of New Products Planning at Gossamer Bio since 2019.

Omar Gaya pursued their education by first attending UC San Diego from 1997 to 2002. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Mathematics, as they pursued a double major. Following this, they enrolled at the Keck Graduate Institute of Applied Life Sciences from 2002 to 2004, where they successfully completed their Master of Business in the field of Business and Biotechnology.
