Silky Vaidya

Silky Vaidya has a diverse work experience in various leadership roles in the technology industry. Silky is currently working as the Global Director of Engineering (Products, Core Platforms, Fintech) at GoStudent since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as a member of the EMEA Core Leadership team at Women In Big Data starting from October 2018.

Silky also worked at SIRV Consulting Ltd. where they held the position of Interim CPTO & Director R&D (Engineering | Product | Innovation | Strategy) from January 2019 onwards. Silky provided advisory and leadership support to tech start-ups, scale-ups, and non-profits, assisting them in digital transformation journeys with an agile and product mindset.

In their role as Senior Director Engineering at Anaplan, Silky led the Engineering and Product function for Web Services Products, Platforms, and Infrastructure. Silky also initiated the development of a new Data, BI, and Analytics Org/Vertical. However, due to budget cuts and the company's takeover by Thoma Bravo, their position was made redundant, leading their to seek new opportunities in 2022.

Silky Vaidya served as a Board Advisor and Head of Innovation at We and AI from February 2020 to August 2021. Silky was responsible for providing guidance and driving innovation initiatives.

During their tenure at CDK Global as the Director R&D, Silky had the responsibility of leading engineering teams globally and overseeing product innovation, sales engineering, and business transformation. Silky specifically focused on the Autoline range of products, which covered various software solutions in the automotive industry.

Before CDK Global, Silky worked at SIRV Consulting Ltd. as the Director of Engineering and Product, where they provided advisory services to startups, scale-ups, and corporate operations, assisting them in innovation, operational models, and business development.

Earlier in their career, Silky worked at Farncombe as a Management Consultant/Engagement Leader, where they contributed to streamlining client business processes and securing new projects.

Silky began their career at Cisco as a Founding Member of the Cisco Women's Board and later served as a Senior Engineering Leader in the Small Cell Technology Group. Silky also worked at Ubiquisys in a similar capacity, leading engineering delivery and product ownership for 3G, 4G, and LTE Radio Access Stacks, as well as Edge Computing and IoT-related use cases.

Overall, Silky Vaidya has demonstrated their expertise in engineering, product management, innovation, digital transformation, and leadership roles across various organizations in the technology industry.

Silky Vaidya holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering, with electives in Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science Algorithms, from Jai Narain Vyas University. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Strategic Partnerships: Ecosystems and Platforms from LinkedIn in 2021, Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant on Option B: Building Resilience from LinkedIn in 2020, and Certified Scrum Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in November 2016.
