Shanna Carpenter

Shanna Carpenter has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Shanna most recently worked as the Director of Strategy at Beauty@Gotham since September 2018. Prior to that, they held the position of Director, Social Media at Equinox from July 2016 to March 2018. Shanna also worked as the Associate Director, Media and Distribution at The Barbarian Group from September 2015 to June 2016. Before that, they served as a Global Strategist at McCann Worldgroup from November 2014 to September 2015.

Earlier in their career, Shanna held roles at TED Conferences, where they worked as the Community Engagement Manager, TED Partnerships from February 2011 to August 2014, and as the Writer and Community Manager, TED.com and TEDActive from January 2009 to January 2011. Shanna also worked at the University of Missouri- St Louis as a GA in Student Life and Emerging Leaders Program from August 2006 to December 2008. Shanna'searlier experience includes internships in Public Relations at HCL Group of Companies in 2002 and 2001. Shanna started their career as a Reporter at Newsday, Trinidad and Tobago from September 2000 to June 2001.

Shanna Carpenter obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis in 2006. Shanna then pursued a Masters in Education, specializing in Higher Education Administration, from the same university between 2006 and 2008. Prior to their undergraduate studies, they attended Bishop Anstey High School.
