Sugito Walujo

An Indonesian citizen born in 1975, Sugito Walujo was appointed as President Director/Chief Executive Officer of GoTo in 2023. He is responsible for setting the overall strategic direction for GoTo.

Sugito is also a co-founder and managing partner of the Northstar Group, an early investor in Gojek. He co-founded the Northstar Group in 2003. Prior to co-founding the Northstar Group, he was a Senior Vice President of Pacific Century Ventures Ltd. in Tokyo from 2000 to 2003, where he played a key role in the firm’s mergers, acquisitions and corporate business development. He started his career at Goldman Sachs & Co. in London and New York (1997-2000).

In addition, Sugito currently serves as a commissioner of PT Indosat Tbk and PT Duta Intidaya Tbk.

Sugito is a member of the International Advisory Board of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Board of Education, Research, Technology and Innovation of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kamar Dagang Indonesia – KADIN).

He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering. In 2009, Patrick was awarded Ernst & Young’s prestigious ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ award. In 2021 he was named Businessman of the Year by Forbes Indonesia.

Sugito has no family relationship with any other members of the Board of Commissioners or Board of Directors.
