Pieter Smit

Pieter Smit is a seasoned software development professional with extensive experience in building and optimizing AI-driven solutions. Currently serving as a Senior Developer in the Generative AI division at GoTo, Pieter specializes in enhancing intelligent agent interactions through the application of LLMs, transcription technologies, and AI frameworks. Previous roles include Senior Developer at ENTERSEKT, where contributions to the Entersekt Secure Platform and Access Control Server projects were made, as well as a Senior Developer position at Capitec Bank, focusing on Java backend development. Pieter has also held various developer roles at InterFront, FireID, Tatis, and J&J Multitier, demonstrating a strong background in software development and team leadership. Pieter earned a B.Comm. Hons in Computer Science from Stellenbosch University.
