Derek Moryson

Derek Moryson is an experienced Policy and Legislative Analyst currently working at BC Public Service since September 2018, where involvement includes significant legislative initiatives such as the development of the Mortgage Services Act regulatory framework and amendments to the Real Estate Services Act. Prior roles encompass various leadership and analytical positions within the Ministries of Finance, Citizens' Services, and Attorney General, contributing extensively to policy formulation and legislative analysis. Derek's career also includes a stint at Central 1 Credit Union as a Senior Policy and Legislative Analyst and prior roles in management consulting, content marketing, and project management. Derek holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a BA (Honours) in Philosophy from the University of Victoria, alongside a Risk Management Certificate from Simon Fraser University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Humber College.
