Adam Barbolet

Adam Barbolet is an experienced professional currently serving as a Senior Trade Commissioner for the Government of Canada since September 2014. Previous roles include Deputy Director for Iran/Iraq and Deputy Director of Fragile States Policy at DFATD | MAECD, along with a tenure as a Russian language student at the same organization. Adam's career also features a position as Team Leader of Governance and Senior Programme Officer at International Alert from 2003 to 2007. Educational qualifications include a Certified International Trade Practitioner from the Forum for International Trade Training, a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the Justice Institute of British Columbia, a Master of Public Administration in Environmental Policy from Queen's University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The University of British Columbia.
