Rebecca Chartrand serves as the Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs and Member of Parliament for Churchill—Keewatinook Aski, Manitoba, since May 2025. Chartrand’s prior experience includes significant roles such as Board Member at the Canadian Museum of Nature and President of the Indigenous Strategy Alliance. As Vice President of Programs and Student Support at Indspire, strategic program development focused on student success was prioritized. Chartrand has also held leadership positions in education, notably as Division Principal and Anti-Racism Lead at Seven Oaks School Division, where anti-racism policies were developed. With a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Manitoba, Chartrand has a strong foundation in educational policy and community leadership.
