Rahman Shah

Rahman Shah currently serves as the Secretary of School Education for the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan since February 2023, following a diverse career in various governmental roles within the same region. Previous positions include Secretary of Excise & Taxation, Zakat and Usher, and Cooperatives Department, along with Secretary for Social Welfare, Population Welfare, Woman Development, Human/Child Rights, and Youth Affairs. Rahman Shah has held significant leadership roles such as Commissioner for the Diamer Astore Division and Deputy Commissioner for Astore and Shiger. Experience also includes working as a Professional Affiliate for UNDP SD and Hennepin County. Educational qualifications include a degree in Public Policy Analysis from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs and a Master's degree in International Relations from Karakoram International University.
