Jasmina Behan

Jasmina Behan is an experienced professional in economic policy and research, currently serving as Assistant Secretary and Principal Officer for Social Protection Vote in the Department of Public Expenditure & Reform since January 2021. Prior to this role, Jasmina held the position of Head of the Irish Government Economic and Evaluation Service (IGEES) from January 2017 to January 2021. With a background as a Labour Market Economist and Senior Quantitative Researcher at SOLAS, Jasmina contributed to the development of the National Skills Database and conducted research to inform education and labor market policies. Earlier in their career, Jasmina worked as an Economist and Quantitative Research Officer at the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority (Teagasc). Educational qualifications include a Professional Diploma in Official Statistics for Policy Evaluation from University College Dublin and a Master of Letters in Economics from Trinity College Dublin.
