Alice Linacre

Alice Linacre is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in public law litigation, particularly for Australian government clients. Currently serving as First Assistant Secretary at the Attorney-General's Department since November 2022, Alice has previously held significant roles such as Chief Counsel at both the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry and the Australian Government Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. Alice's background includes serving as General Counsel at the Department of Human Services and Special Counsel at Clayton Utz. With a strong foundation in law, established through a Bachelor's degree in Arts/Law from the Australian National University, Alice has also contributed to the legal field as ACT and SNSW Branch President for Amnesty International Australia and as a Senior Legal Officer at the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.
