Patrick Gaynor currently serves as an Administrative Officer for the Climate Research Unit at the Department of Public Expenditure NDP Delivery & Reform since November 2023. Previously, Patrick coordinated the Climate Justice in Development research group and completed a PhD in Geography at Trinity College Dublin, focusing on a multi-disciplinary project addressing climate and biodiversity issues through native woodland afforestation in Ireland. Additional experience includes participation in the EIT Climate-KIC leadership program, team coordination roles in ski operations, and marine tourism. Patrick co-founded Surf Sharing LTD, a transport service for surfers, and has engaged in various educational roles, including guest lectures and presentations on grassroots environmental activism. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy, a Master of Arts in Environment, Society, and Development, and a Bachelor's Degree in Geography.
