Andrew Mitton is a seasoned emergency management professional with extensive experience in various roles related to emergency response and preparedness. Currently serving as President of Mollitiam Emergency Management since September 2023, Mitton focuses on enhancing community resilience against climate change threats through consultation and education. As a Project Manager for the Government of Nova Scotia since May 2023 and a Paramedic with Emergency Health Services NS since July 2003, Mitton has a strong foundation in emergency medical services. Additionally, Mitton has over 24 years of experience as a Fire Captain with New Minas Fire & Emergency Services and previously held the position of Emergency Management Preparedness Officer with NSEMO from February 2012 to May 2023. Mitton also led Project Lifesaver Nova Scotia as President from March 2016 to July 2018, an initiative aimed at assisting caregivers in locating loved ones with special needs. Educational qualifications include a degree in Leadership Management from the Nova Scotia Government and training from the Maritime School of Paramedicine.
