Mitchell has held several leadership roles, including Vice President of Marketing at Goway Travel, where they led a full marketing and brand transformation. Prior to that, Mitchell worked at Major Tom as the VP of Strategy & Creative, overseeing complex marketing projects and managing various teams. Mitchell also served as the VP of Client Services at Major Tom, where they were responsible for service delivery and client satisfaction. Before joining Major Tom, Mitchell founded their own social media consultancy called Motive Communications Inc. Mitchell has also worked as a part-time instructor at Simon Fraser University, specializing in digital and mobile marketing. Earlier in their career, Mitchell held marketing and sales positions at O'Neill Hotels and Resorts, Westin Hotels & Resorts, The Westin Bayshore Vancouver, Radisson Hotels Alberta, and Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire. Overall, Mitchell Fawcett's experience spans across various sectors, demonstrating their expertise in marketing, communications, and travel.

Mitchell Fawcett attended Adhouse NYC in 2020 for continuing education in Campaign Strategy. Prior to that, they completed a Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2003 to 2005.
