Shafiq Akbar

Shafiq Akbar has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Shafiq started their career as an Assistant Manager Marketing at Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. from August 1998 to October 2002. Shafiq then worked as a Senior Financial Advisor at Douglas Allen from March 2007 to July 2013. After this, they held directorial positions at Hotspots Management UK Ltd from August 2010, Homzz Investments from March 2014, and Steptons Estate Agents from July 2013. In 2016, Shafiq became the CEO of Graana, Pakistan's first real estate marketplace and also took on the role of Chairman at Imarat Group, a leading real estate conglomerate in Pakistan. Throughout their career, Shafiq has demonstrated strong leadership and expertise in the real estate industry, with a focus on national development and bringing international hotel chains to Pakistan.

Shafiq Akbar pursued their education, gaining a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in International Relations and Affairs from the University of Cambridge from 2013 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science degree in Public Policy at Queen Mary University of London from 2011 to 2012.
