Alex Ilisei

Alex Ilisei is a seasoned product manager with extensive experience in mapping and navigation technologies. As a Principal Product Manager at Grab since January 2020, Alex has successfully led the development of GrabMaps, achieving geo self-sufficiency in the ride-hailing and delivery sectors through innovative crowdsourced operations and AI applications. Previously, Alex held roles at Telenav from February 2014 to January 2020, including Product & Tech Lead for the OpenStreetCam project and Team Lead for the iOS Engineering team. Alex began the career as an iOS Developer at Skobbler GmbH, contributing to a top-rated navigation app and pioneering the development of a maps SDK. Academic credentials include a Master's degree in Software Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Babes-Bolyai University.
