Jack Fagan has a diverse work experience that spans over several decades. Jack started their career in 1987 as a Case Manager and Residential Counselor at Strawberry Fields, Inc. In 1989, they worked as an Intensive Treatment Unit Supervisor and Rehabilitation Therapist at The Training School at Vineland. Jack co-founded Central Pennsylvania Men Stopping Rape in 1987 and served as the Co-Director, conducting workshops on rape awareness and prevention. From 1990 to 1993, they worked as a Residential Counselor at Allegheny East (now Milestone Centers), specializing in providing services to deaf individuals. Jack then joined The Arc San Francisco in 1993 and held various positions, including Associate Executive Director and Training and Outcomes Director. Jack played a significant role in launching innovative programs and providing staff development training. In 2002, they became the President of the Board of Directors for AASCEND, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization that supports autistic adults and their families. From 2003 to 2007, Jack was the Co-Chair of the San Francisco Mayor's Disability Council, where they led televised meetings and drafted Resolutions to improve disability services in the city. Jack then served as the Director of Operations at Hamilton Families from 2008 to 2018 before assuming their current role as Canon for Operations (Director of Operations) at Grace Cathedral in 2018.
Jack Fagan studied Individual and Family Studies with minors in Women's Studies and African American Studies at Penn State University.
