Galen Emanuel

Galen Emanuel has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and web development. They have worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Grace Hill since November 2021. Prior to that, Galen was the Sr. Software Engineer and Founder of Odd Jobs Development, where they specialized in custom web design using React, RubyOnRails, WordPress, and other technologies. They also completed freelance work in various programming languages and provided coaching in JavaScript. Galen also worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Main Street Computing from January 2021 to December 2021, where they played a key role in developing medium to large business websites and a proprietary SaaS product. They were responsible for writing their own features and collaborating with other engineers using project git flow. In 2020, Galen held an internship as a Software Engineering Immersive Intern at General Assembly and worked as a Coach at DC Fencing Club from 2015 to 2020.

Galen Emanuel attended several educational institutions throughout their academic career. From 2020 to 2020, they studied at General Assembly, where they completed a Software Engineering Immersive program. Prior to that, they attended Montgomery College from 2015 to 2018, focusing on Computer Science. Before their college years, from 2013 to 2015, Galen studied Biology at UC Santa Barbara. Finally, from 2009 to 2013, they attended Richard Montgomery High School, with a focus on European History, Film Studies, Physics, and English.
