Violet Shaw

Senior Director of Patient Care Services at Grafton City Hospital

Violet is a Grafton native and joined Grafton City Hospital in 1989. Violet attended Fairmont State College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Community Psychology (1984), Bachelor Degree in Secondary Education (1988), and an Associate Degree in Nursing (1994). Violet has been the past TVTCC Nurse Manager and is currently the Director of Acute Care Nursing. Her past and current certifications and affiliations include: BLS – Instructor Trainer, ACLS – Instructor Trainer, PALS – Instructor Trainer, BTLS – Instructor Trainer, EMT – Basic, EMSA – RN, Certified Emergency Nurse, CATN - Certified, TNCC –Instructor, ENPC – Certified. Violet also holds positions such as: Advisory Representative for CORE, Advisory Board – WV Junior College LPN Program, Citizens Advisory Board – Pruntytown Correctional Center, Advisory Board – Fairmont State University RN Program, Advisory Council – Health Occupations Class at Grafton High School, State Trauma Advisory Council, and the Ambulance Authority Advisor Board.
