Ali Tafazzoli

Director Of Health Economics And Outcomes Research at GRAIL

Ali Tafazzoli has a strong background in health economics and outcomes research. Ali is currently serving as the Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research at GRAIL since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Health Economics & Predictive Modeling at Eisai US from April 2022 to July 2022.

From September 2020 to April 2022, Ali held the position of Director, Senior Research Scientist at Evidera. Before that, they served as the Research Director, Disease Simulation at Evidera from September 2016 to September 2020, and as a Senior Research Associate from July 2013 to September 2020.

In the earlier stages of their career, Ali worked as a Senior Analyst at Metron Aviation from March 2009 to June 2013, where they were involved in developing algorithms and models related to airspace configuration, traffic flow management, and ground delay program management.

Ali started their professional journey as a Research Assistant at SAS Institute in May 2006 and worked until February 2009, focusing on optimization tasks using SAS Enterprise Guide.

Ali's academic experience includes working as a Research Assistant at North Carolina State University from September 2003 to December 2008, where they conducted statistical analysis and developed simulation models for cancer screening.

Before entering the field of research, they held a position as a Project Service Manager at Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers from May 2001 to December 2002, where they managed resource assignments and conducted software training sessions.

Ali Tafazzoli began their education at Sharif University of Technology in 1996 and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering in 2001. Later, from 2004 to 2008, they pursued their PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a focus on Operations Research at North Carolina State University.
