April Sagan

April Sagan has a work experience that spans multiple roles and companies. April began their career as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from August 2016 to May 2021. During this time, they also worked as a Visiting Professional at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory from June 2018 to August 2018. From August 2021 to April 2023, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Pittsburgh. Currently, they hold the role of a Bioinformatics Scientist 2 at GRAIL starting from April 2023.

April Sagan completed their education from 2012 to 2021. April started their academic journey at Rochester Institute of Technology and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics with a Minor in Physics in 2016. During their undergraduate years, they also obtained the Actuarial Exam P (Probability) certification from the Society of Actuaries in April 2016.

Following their undergraduate degree, April pursued further education at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. From 2016 to 2019, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Mathematics. Continuing their educational pursuit, April then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2016 to 2021, which marked the end of their formal education.
