Cindy Wagner

Cindy Wagner has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Cindy is currently working as a Staff Design Control Quality Engineer at GRAIL, Inc. since February 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2018 to February 2021.

Cindy has spent a significant portion of their career at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, where they served as a Senior Research Scientist from July 1997 to February 2021.

Cindy also has experience working at Chiron as both a Senior Research Scientist (1998-2007) and Research Scientist (1997-1998). During their time at Chiron, Cindy was involved in designing, optimizing, and validating automated HIV-1 and HCV viral load assays. Cindy also contributed to preclinical studies and the transfer of the assays to manufacturing.

Before joining Chiron, Cindy worked at MEGABIOS as a Research Associate (1996-1997) and as a Staff Research Associate II at U.C.S.F. (1993-1996). Their responsibilities at MEGABIOS included RNA and DNA isolation, real-time RT-PCR, and data analysis. At U.C.S.F., they conducted experiments studying the activity of antibiotics against Mycobacterium tuberculosis.

Cindy began their career as an Assistant Scientist at Roche Molecular Systems from 1991 to 1993. Cindy also worked as a Laboratory Technician at Indiana University from 1989 to 1991, assisting with experiments on early embryonic development.
