Hashem Meriesh

Hashem Meriesh, PhD, is a Medical Writer II at GRAIL since August 2022, with prior experience as a Scientist/Medical Writer at CATO SMS from April 2021 to August 2022. Meriesh served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from August 2013 to July 2020, where essential contributions included conducting independent research, mentoring undergraduate students, and co-chairing a seminar series to foster scientific exchange. Additional training as a CCBTP Fellow at the UNC-CH Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center involved a comprehensive background in cancer biology and drug discovery. Meriesh's earlier experience as a Science Teacher at the Islamic Saudi Academy included engaging students in various science subjects. Meriesh earned a PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a B.S. in Biochemistry from George Mason University.
