Julie Pengelly

Julie Pengelly currently serves as the GM of Safety, Health, and Environment at GrainCorp since November 2022. Prior to this role, Julie held the position of Health, Safety and Environment Manager at Pacific National for over a decade. Julie's experience includes working as a Principal Consultant in Ergonomics and Safety at Safety and Ergonomic Solutions, where consultancy services were provided to various industries including mining, rail, and heavy manufacturing. Additional roles encompass positions as an Ergonomist at Industry & Investment NSW, Safety at HVSG/CHONG, National Safety Manager at Ampcontrol, National Injury Management Advisor at OneSteel, and Health & Safety at Tomago Aluminium. Julie began a career in healthcare as an Occupational Therapist at Hunter Rehab and Kurri Kurri Hospital. Julie holds a Masters in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Newcastle and has advanced and undergraduate degrees in Ergonomics and Occupational Therapy from the University of Queensland and the University of Newcastle, respectively.
