Ron Osmond

Ron Osmond is the General Manager of Strategy and Business Development at the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), a position held since August 2013. In this role, Ron oversees business development, investment planning, and the commercialization of project outcomes, focusing on partnerships and product development for the Australian grains industry. Previously, Ron served as the Head of Business Development at GRDC, managing a team responsible for intellectual property assets and investment strategies, and as Manager of Commercial Technology Delivery, where responsibilities included managing R&D investments and performance metrics. Prior experience includes a decade at TGR BioSciences, where Ron progressed from Senior Scientist to Commercialisation Manager, focusing on translating innovations into market-ready products. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Marketing from the University of South Australia and a Ph.D. in Plant Sciences along with a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from the University of Adelaide.
