Oleksandr Skurzhanskyi

Oleksandr Skurzhanskyi, PhD, currently serves as Technical Lead in Machine Learning at Grammarly, where responsibilities include leading a team of over 15 individuals and focusing on LLMs, instruction tuning, and preference optimization. Previously, Oleksandr held the position of Applied Research Scientist, achieving state-of-the-art results in Grammatical Error Correction through the development of a non-autoregressive model. Prior to Grammarly, Oleksandr worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at LUN, specializing in deep learning models for text and image classification, as well as developing a geo recognition pipeline. Oleksandr's academic background includes a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
