Asma S. has a diverse work experience that includes roles in human resources, accounting, and office management. Asma began their career as an Assistant Manager of Human Resources at Ryerson University, where they were responsible for managing and processing audits, HR documentation, and corporate communications. During their time there, they also created a new hire orientation program. Asma then joined MUA as an Office Manager, overseeing a team of 75+ employees and implementing procedures to promote a paperless office. Currently, Asma holds roles at Granada School, starting as an Accounting Generalist and progressing to Manager and Director of Human Resources and Accounting. Asma S. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and computer engineering from Ryerson University. Asma also pursued a Python programming course at UCSC Silicon Valley Extension. In addition, they obtained a Certification in Human Resources Management and Services from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Asma S. also holds various additional certifications such as Payroll law, Human Resources for Anyone with Newly Assigned HR Responsibilities, ADP workforce now, Accounting Coach, Python programming, and Quickbooks.

The Mission of Granada Islamic School is to provide quality academic and Islamic education in a community that nurtures a strong Muslim identity, fosters brotherhood, and strengthens moral character. Granada Islamic School (GIS) educates children with a strong focus on academic subjects along with the traditions and teachings of Islam. Since its inception, GIS has dedicated its efforts towards inspiring and preparing students to be life-long learners and realize the importance of striving for the best in this life and the hereafter. With a humble beginning of 25 students in 1988, GIS today is honored to educate about 500 students.
