Katie Abelson Lcsw

Katie Abelson, LCSW has an extensive work history in social services and resident care. Katie currently serves as the Director of Social Services at Los Angeles Jewish Health. Prior to this role, they worked at Los Angeles Jewish Home, where they held various positions including Director of Resident Care Services, Social Services Team Leader, Social Worker, and Care Transitions Health Coach.

Katie Abelson, LCSW obtained their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Southern California from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Occidental College where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from 2008 to 2012. In 2011-2012, they also studied at Koç Üniversitesi through the CIEE: Language and Culture program.

In addition to their education, Katie Abelson has obtained certifications in Management of Assaultive Behavior from the Los Angeles Jewish Home in December 2019, as well as becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker through the University of Southern California in May 2019.
