Managing Partner at Grand Basin Capital

Before forming Grand Basin Capital, Jason launched the Asset & Construction Management division for the Prado Group. He was focused on executing a capital-intensive value add strategy for a portfolio of 23 multifamily properties in San Francisco, CA with a major institutional investor.

Before joining the Prado Group, Jason held asset management, acquisitions, and development project management roles in Jonathan Rose Companies’ West and East Coast offices. While on the West Coast, he played a key role in the identification and acquisition of Forest City Realty Trusts’ affordable housing business, a deal valued at over $500MM with 48 buildings and nearly 8,500 units across seven states. In addition, he repositioned a newly acquired 30 unit mixed-use building and asset managed an 85 tenant office building in Seattle, WA, along with multifamily assets in Portland, OR, and Berkeley, CA.

While on the East Coast, Jason was involved with all pre-development activities on a 131-unit mixed-income, ground-up development valued at over $35MM. In addition, he actively asset-managed office, mixed-use, and multifamily assets from New Haven, CT to Baltimore, MD.

Jason started his career in commercial real estate banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (ABN AMRO/ LaSalle Bank NA) where he was focused on REIT and middle-market clients.

Jason received a Master of Real Estate, Finance, and Development with high honors from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Finance from John Carroll University. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute and the Chicago Architecture Center Auxiliary Board.
