Kyle Viana

Production Stage Manager at Grand Rapids Symphony

Kyle Viana has held various positions in the music and hospitality industries since 2006. Kyle began as a Guitar Instructor for Private Lessons and a Host at Tommy Brann's Steakhouse & Grille. In 2009, they became a Production Intern at Mixtape Café and a TAC Specialist and Promotions Chair at Ferris State University. In 2010, they worked as an Event Services & Volunteer Coordination Intern for the Grand Rapids Symphony. In 2011, they were a Driver Helper for UPS, and in 2012 they were a Cook at Brann's Distinctive Catering. Kyle has been a Production Stage Manager for the Grand Rapids Symphony since 2013, working with conductors, guest artists, and other Symphony staff to produce concerts and special events, creating stage plots, multimedia presentations, and production schedules. Kyle is also responsible for the execution of performances and events, ensuring compliance with musician/artist contracts, procuring rental equipment and instruments from vendors, and supervising/coordinating stage-crew.

Kyle Viana attended Ferris State University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a Music Industry Management degree with a focus in Special Event & Meeting Planning. Prior to that, they attended Western Michigan University from 2007 to 2008, where they studied Marketing.
