James Sandusky has a diverse work experience in the field of network engineering and cyber security. James worked as an Operations Cyber Security Architect at Grand River Dam Authority since December 2012, where they led a team responsible for managing servers and networks. James also played a vital role in the cyber security aspect of the Critical Infrastructure Protection program. Prior to that, from July 2000 to December 2012, James worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Upperspace, where they built and maintained the datacenter and network infrastructure for internet services in northeastern Oklahoma. James was instrumental in creating a high-speed wireless network using microwave towers to provide internet services to residential and business customers. James also has experience as a Datacenter Manager at Learn2.com, where they managed the acquisition and merger of ViaGrafix Corporation. Additionally, from August 1992 to August 1999, they served as an IT Manager at ViaGrafix, where they developed an e-commerce website and managed the internet service, including dial-up access and web hosting. James has extensive experience in managing networks, servers, and cyber security systems that contribute to the reliable operations of critical infrastructure.
James Sandusky attended Pryor High School from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained their high school diploma. During this time, they studied various subjects without specifying a specific field of study. Following high school, from 1992 to 1993, James attended Northeast Technology Center-Pryor. James pursued a program in Automobile/Automotive Mechanics Technology/Technician.
Additionally, James Sandusky has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2018, they completed the E-ISAC Industry Augmentation Program offered by E-ISAC. In 2015, they obtained the OSHA 10 - General Industry Safety and Health certification from Northeast Technology Center-Pryor. During the same year, they also acquired the ARC FLASH - NFPA 70E certification from the same institution. In 2013, James completed the Transmission Security Management course provided by GE Energy Management. James also obtained certifications in Security Essentials Bootcamp Style from the SANS Institute and Industrial Defender from GE Energy Management, both in 2013.

GRDA utilizes a diverse portfolio of electric generation assets to keep rates low and reliability high. This gas, coal, water and wind portfolio includes Oklahoma’s first hydroelectric facility; the state’s only pumped-storage project; the first M501J gas turbine deployed in the Western Hemisphere and other generation assets. GRDA transmits and delivers this wholesale electricity across its 24-county service area in Northeast Oklahoma via a sophisticated energy delivery system. GRDA sells electricity to three customer classes: municipals, electric cooperatives and industries. GRDA also manages 70,000 surface acres of lake waters in Oklahoma, including Grand Lake, Lake Hudson and the W.R. Holway Reservoir. GRDA also fulfills this stewardship mission in its management of the waters of the scenic Illinois River.
