Matt Martin has over 20 years of work experience, with their most recent role being Deputy Chief Financial Officer at Grand River Dam Authority since May 2017. In this position, they oversee various accounting functions, including accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting. Matt is currently leading a team for the implementation of Microsoft D365 ERP Finance and Operations software. Prior to this, Matt worked as a Regional Controller at J.A.M. From June 2006 to September 2015, Matt worked as a Senior Accounting Manager at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, where they oversaw the month-end closing process and prepared financial statements. Additionally, they analyzed and consolidated statements and presented financial results to management. Matt started their career at Verizon Business as an Accountant II, where they worked from 2000 to 2006.
Matt Martin attended Pryor High School from 1989 to 1991. Matt then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business, General Business, and Finance from Oklahoma State University between 1991 and 1996. Later, in 2014 and 2015, they attended Rogers State University and focused on Accounting, though they did not complete a specific degree.

GRDA utilizes a diverse portfolio of electric generation assets to keep rates low and reliability high. This gas, coal, water and wind portfolio includes Oklahoma’s first hydroelectric facility; the state’s only pumped-storage project; the first M501J gas turbine deployed in the Western Hemisphere and other generation assets. GRDA transmits and delivers this wholesale electricity across its 24-county service area in Northeast Oklahoma via a sophisticated energy delivery system. GRDA sells electricity to three customer classes: municipals, electric cooperatives and industries. GRDA also manages 70,000 surface acres of lake waters in Oklahoma, including Grand Lake, Lake Hudson and the W.R. Holway Reservoir. GRDA also fulfills this stewardship mission in its management of the waters of the scenic Illinois River.
