GRDA utilizes a diverse portfolio of electric generation assets to keep rates low and reliability high. This gas, coal, water and wind portfolio includes Oklahoma’s first hydroelectric facility; the state’s only pumped-storage project; the first M501J gas turbine deployed in the Western Hemisphere and other generation assets. GRDA transmits and delivers this wholesale electricity across its 24-county service area in Northeast Oklahoma via a sophisticated energy delivery system. GRDA sells electricity to three customer classes: municipals, electric cooperatives and industries. GRDA also manages 70,000 surface acres of lake waters in Oklahoma, including Grand Lake, Lake Hudson and the W.R. Holway Reservoir. GRDA also fulfills this stewardship mission in its management of the waters of the scenic Illinois River.
