Edward Heinonen

Edward Heinonen has extensive experience in facility management across various prestigious organizations. Currently serving as the Assistant Facility Manager at Grand Sierra Resort since March 2022, Edward oversees daily facility operations, develops capital projects, and manages work assignments. Prior to this role, Edward held significant positions at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and MGM Resorts International from January 2011 to July 2023, where responsibilities included personnel management, project oversight, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Edward also served as the Director of Business Development at Consolidated Mechanical, Inc. from March 2004 to January 2009, where focus was on cultivating business relationships and developing capital budgets. Earlier experience includes roles at Frontier/National/Reno Airlines with responsibilities ranging from cost analysis to project management for airport terminal projects. Edward holds a Bachelor’s degree in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting, and Related Protective Services from Northern Michigan University, earned between 1974 and 1978.
